I Spy: Poker Fashion

“My Trend Prediction” is now going to be called, “I Spy”. Every so often,  I will notice a trend that comes on strongly in department stores, magazines, or on the runways. If another blogger, fashion reporter, or trend site doesn’t pick up on it, then I do. I will describe the trend and give you similar (and affordable) looks that go with that trend. This is a very rare and special article that will come in every once in a while.

Get your poker face on because I’ve been seeing a few hints of the playing card design on handbags, jackets, and other pieces of clothing. It’s not just on those cheesy tee-shirts anymore, that only your hubby would wear. It’s becoming a lot more chic, but still has that whimsical edge to it. Even Sydney Love added a “Queens” playing cards collection to her handbags. (I bought one from T.J. Maxx for $20!) Will it become a trend for Winter/Spring 09′? Would you like a piece of the action? So if you’re high rolling in Vegas or aren’t even a gambler, these pieces are sure to brighten up your boring winter wardrobe.
