For Calvin Klein’s Spring 2012 Collection, Francisco Costa offered a gorgeous collection of silky dresses, jackets and light-as-air palazzo cropped pants. His palette of blush, tan, white and chocolate — with a few metallics sprinkled — in was delightful and sophisticated, and the unfussy silhouettes were brilliantly sexy in their restraint. Marc Jacobs certainly knows how to put on a show. For Spring 2012, the designer kicked off the evening with a striking Bob Fosse-inspired tableau; from there, each model got up one by one to walk the runway. But the theatrics weren’t the only thrilling part; continuing on his theme of experimenting with new materials, Jacobs offered retro glam silhouettes in new and modern fabrics.
